Family owned and operated
Wilensky's Hardware & Locks is a family owned and operated locksmith and hardware supply store that has been in business for over a century. It started in 1917 and it has stayed in the family for three generations. On East Passyunk Avenue it is the Mom and Pop Shop, with a family behind the counter and a name on the blade sign.
A century of learning the skills
Key cutting is a craft, and it is one the shop has had a hundred years to practice. After three generations and a century of learning the skills, Wilensky's can duplicate almost any key: a new house key, a new car key, a designer or high-security key, a skeleton key or an antique chest key. When there is no key left to copy, one can be created.
Yes to the hardware search
The hardware side of the counter runs on one habit. The shop says yes to assisting with any hardware or tool searches when other hardware stores would say sorry, we can't help you. The shelves hold fasteners, plumbing and electrical supplies, paint, hand tools and bits, ropes, chains and cleaning supplies, and glass and pipe can be cut to size at the counter.
We back our products 100%
Wilensky's will service anything it sells, and what carries a manufacturer's warranty is covered by it. On locks, the promise is the same one the shop has made all along: your satisfaction is guaranteed on every installation and repair. For lockouts, the shop comes to you, in the Italian Market neighborhood and across South Philadelphia, Center City and the streets around them.
What is on the wall
Key blanks, hand tools, parts bins and the tagged keys themselves, as they hang at 1113 E Passyunk.

Licensed and a member
Credentials, on the back of the tag
The shop holds a Pennsylvania locksmith licence and is a member of the Associated Locksmiths of America and the Greater Philadelphia Locksmiths Association.
“Support small! These guys are super kind and cut my keys (as opposed to copying at the likes of Home Depot and co where half the time it doesn't even work) on the spot. So many colors to choose from, a godsend when you have multiple keys! Highly recommended, thank you so much!”
Bring the key, the lock or the broken part.
